Established in 2005, EDSS Ontario was developed after working in the food service industry for over 30 years in the Greater Toronto area. Rod Steele brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this family-run business, based in Waterloo, Ontario. His vision of having customers deal directly with him, as their representative to many of the equipment manufacturers in the bakery industry has simplified equipment needs, all in one place. The name EDSS, Equipment Direct Sales and Service was chosen as the perfect way to sum up exactly what we do.

In addition to bakery equipment, a sharpening hobby has turned into a great service program which has grown and evolved to what we call EDSS Twice as Sharp. We are proud to offer a wide array of sharpening services, from knife sharpening, to beauticians’ shears and clipper blades, to lawnmowers, and everything in between.
